Dratwa is a Belgian photographer originally from Brussels. A self-taught man, he became editor of the design and architecture magazine Domino, and has always had a passion for the arts. He enjoyed painting as a young man, but later turned to photography, a process he describes as his true vocation.
Dratwa has a number of artistic influences. He says he draws inspiration and creative strength from the legacy of Baroque painters, as well as from the work of Edward Hopper and Joel Meyerowitz. For Dratwa, every subject he tackles is as much a story as it is a photographic work. He lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.
