Jonathan Gold (b. 1972, Kibbutz Afek, Israel)
Lives and works in Tel Aviv.
Gold’s work reflects a contemporary point of view on modernism, specifically in relation to Israeli modern masters. His paintings often reference social settings, for example, the relationship between the individual and the group, between women and men, and between the painter and the viewer. Gold has exhibited his work in many galleries and museums in Israel and around the world. His work was recently acquired by the Israel Museum of Art, Jerusalem.
