PRESS RELEASE:

Liron Kroll | Sand Box
Opening Reception: Thursday, Jul. 17, 2014

The visualization of self awareness as a marginal estranged motion, is at the essence of Kroll works.
In ‘Sand Box’ Kroll focuses on a specific moment of acknowledgement and realisation. Her characters, those whom we see within the image and those whose presence is only implied, exist in a state of constant conflict. This  is emphasized by the rich, carefully constructed environment Kroll achieves using different digital layering techniques.

In her creation process, Kroll dismantles and creates visual worlds, she reassembles and builds new realisms. One of her images may include bits and pieces taken from over hundreds of different photos, photos taken in different times and places.Thereby Kroll disconnects the supposedly “photographic Image” from any standard anchors in time and space.
Kroll, an MA graduate from the Royal College of Art, works and lives in London.
