Matan Ben Cnaan | Fantasma
Opening: Thursday, June 28th at 8 pm

Matan Ben Cnaan, the winner of the 2017 Shiff prize for figurative realist art, is currently exhibiting in a solo show at The Tel Aviv Museum Art.  Simultaneously, Ben Cnaan will exhibit a mini-exhibition at the gallery featuring small-scaled paintings from recent months.  Unlike his usual method in which he paints actual subjects that he has staged, these paintings he creates solely from his imagination.
“Fantasma” is a Hebrew word for an “alternate reality” in which a person creates in his head – a subconscious fantasy.
