Piet van den Boog / Masterpieces

Piet van den Boog returns after three years for his 2nd solo exhibition at Zemack Contemporary Art.  The show will include a series of new works inspired by the great Dutch masters such as Rembrandt van Rijn and Vincent van Gogh. The large scale portraits are made of oil paint, acrylic, acid & different metals. A modern day alchemist, van den Boog’s experiments with base metals like lead, copper, steel etc. He benefits from the uncontrollable nature of chemical action by way of accidents, which bring chaos to the organized mind.

Piet van den Boog (b.1951) lives and works in Amsterdam.
His works are included in many important international museums and collections, most notably the Drents Museum, Assen, Netherlands; Scheringa voor Realisme Collection, Amsterdam, Netherlands; the Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation, Jersey City, New Jersey; Dutch Ministry of Education Art Collection, Culture and Science, Den Haag, Netherlands; ING Art Collection, Amsterdam, Netherlands; and the Miniature Museum, Gemeente Museum Den Haag, Netherlands.
